74. Mark David Chapman shot John Lennon with four hollow point rounds outside the singer's apartment building, then sat down and quietly read his copy of J.D. Salinger's 'The Catcher in The Rye' until the police arrived. He was arrested without incident, and still resides at the Attica Correctional Facility in New York.
